Choosing
the Right Metal
Practically all Whitehouse
Brothers jewelry pieces are available in
platinum or white, yellow or pink gold.
Please see the product
detail pages for specifics on which
rings are available in which finishes.
Platinum is the preferred
metal for filigree because it offers superior
strength and durability for the intricate
filigree cuts. Its bright white color compliments
the brilliance
of a diamond like no other metal.

Platinum
Platinum is the ideal metal for filigree jewelry because of its strength, durability and cool white sheen. Whitehouse Brothers platinum jewelry is 95% pure platinum and 5% ruthenium. Platinum will deliver the most durability of any metal over time. |

White Gold
Whitehouse Brothers’ 18K white gold is 75% gold and 25% palladium. Traditionally nickel, copper and zinc are used as alloys. Instead of the three alloys, Whitehouse Brothers uses palladium (a member of the platinum family) to mix with gold. The benefits of this mixture include a whiter metal, higher density (feels heavier) and the rings are non-allergenic. |

Yellow Gold
18K yellow gold is 75% gold and 25% alloy metals. Whitehouse uses a yellow gold alloy that produces a rich gold color and very high luster. |
 |
Pink Gold
18K pink gold is 75% percent gold and 25% alloy metals. A higher percentage of copper is added to the alloy to produce a beautiful pink color. |
